Job Description

Plan and implement circulation tactics for the publication within the respective target readership segment

Ensure implementation of corporate and local strategic initiatives

Achieve circulation targets for the publication in the location

Maintain vendor relationships and enforce contracts with vendors / agents and their associations

Manage trade deposits from vendors, plan recovery and legal recourse if needed

Develop readership profile for the Publication and highlight market / competitor intelligence

Provide feedback on effectiveness of circulation strategies and promotional efforts

Provide inputs for budgetary recommendations for sales and circulation efforts and monitor expenditure of budgeted funds

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein

Achieve and maintain circulation levels for the target readership for his publication Circulation level for the target population
Capture mind space of the target segment Market Share in targeted segments
Circulation costs Circulation expense per 1000 copies
Circulation per employee
Communicate accurate estimate of the print order Stock outs at centers / stall
% Copies returned / not sold
Highlight market / competitor intelligence Update MIS regularly with credible information
Implement promotion schemes for the vendors and readers; report impact of the scheme Monthly analysis the schemes proposed / implemented
Share information and coordinate with advertising and editorial for tactical planning Update readership profile and circulation reach. Highlight opportunities and concern areas
Manage trade deposits from vendors Adherence to policy
Average credit days, outstandings & write offs, disputes pending
Debtor days (average number of days sales required to cover the outstanding debt)
Net sales realization
